Dr. Briscoe is from Ragley, Louisiana, and graduated from South Beauregard High School. She attended McNeese State University where she studied biology. She obtained her DVM degree in 2019 from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she moved to Western Nebraska for a year-long mixed animal internship. She loved the area and the variety of cases that came with mixed animal general practice. Upon completing the internship, she worked for an additional 2 years as an associate veterinarian. She has recently moved back to Southwest Louisiana, and is excited to be closer to family and begin practicing at Lake Area! Her primary interests are internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and seeing all of the new puppy appointments! She is also a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, and enjoys integrating eastern and western medicine to provide the best quality of life for her patients. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, almost any outdoor activity, and spending time with her family. She shares her home with a Dachshund named Kora, a Labrador named Mauzy, and a crazy cat named Tilly. Dr. Briscoe is excited to begin serving the clients and patients at Lake Area, and is grateful for the opportunity to be practicing back home!

We adopted my sweet pup, Basil, at Lake Area Animal Hospital years ago. It was evident that the staff loved and cared for Basil. They even sent us home with a list of thing Basil liked and didn’t like. We have also had a dog treated for diabetes at Lake Area Hospital. The staff was knowledgeable and trained our family to give him his insulin.

I love the veterinarians and the medical staff. They were very loving toward my fur baby Lucy and they even snapped a picture with her doing some tricks! She always loves getting treats from them while they do what they need to do and they are so careful not to hurt her or make her feel uncomfortable. And they also give her all the belly rubs.
